Part-Time Support Position Available (15 to 20 Hours Per Week)

If you want space to grow with and learn from an experienced real estate team while helping people move confidently to the best homes for their best lives, this might be an opportunity for you. We value people, and their decisions about real estate in general and their homes in particular make a huge difference in the quality and trajectory of their lives. We help people understand their options and make wise, confident choices among them, and we’re looking for a part-time team member with a real estate license to join us in helping more people make better choices. If you are looking for a job where you can simply do the work, collect a paycheck, and get on with your life, there is a more meaningful opportunity for you somewhere else, so please don’t apply with us.

Here is what we currently envision empowering our next team member to do for $20 to $25 per hour 15 to 20 hours per while training that team member in skills and systems that can help them grow their own clientele during the time that they’re not working to serve our team and clients:

  • Conducting tours of potential homes for our clients
  • Preparing for open houses
    • Preparing brochures
    • Hand-delivering invitations to neighbors
    • Setting up open-house signs in the neighborhood before open houses
    • Taking down open-house signs after open houses
  • Helping host open houses
    • Registering guests
    • Answering guest questions
    • Creating a welcoming environment
  • Helping with some administrative support when our administrative assistant is not available
    • Scheduling home tours
    • Doing market research and analysis to help our clients understand the value of a given home
    • Doing research to help answer client questions
  • Facilitating investigative inspections by providing access and a professional presence from our team with our clients
  • Checking in on homes physically (progress on repairs, no vandalism, grass staying green, etc.)
  • Installing lockboxes
  • Making copies of keys
  • Gathering details about all of the features present in the homes we’ll be marketing
  • Delivering information packages personally to people considering working with our team
  • Taking videos of houses for investor clients who need to see the condition and basic features but don’t as much need to physically visit them
  • Supporting our community-building events
    • Setting up and tearing down
    • Calling to invite people personally
    • Having connective conversations during the event
    • Keeping track of who came
  • Helping with pickups and drop-offs (keys, paperwork, supplies, etc.)
  • Bonus: Preparing graphics/photos for social media, newsletters, and website

To truly thrive, we believe our next team member needs to be/do/have the following:

  • Have a real estate license – For the right person we’d be willing to wait the 15 weeks or so it takes to do the classes and take the exam.
  • Be available evenings and weekends
  • Be excited about working in our team versus trying to build their own team in the near future

  • Be teachable/coachable
  • Desire to get to the bottom of problems on their own
  • Have a history of strong self-motivation
  • Have a history of internal drive to learn and grow
  • Have high emotional intelligence – the ability to understand what people are thinking and feeling and help those people feel understood and cared for
  • Be intuitive with computers and the Internet
    • Not overwhelmed when faced with technology challenges
    • Naturally understand how to move data, text, and images between programs
    • Have a solid foundation for learning and improving our use of computer/web technology
  • Bonus: Have ability to identify attractive photos, layouts, fonts, and other design elements
