From Our Family to Yours – February 2024

02/24/24
Ashlinn and Carys spent two weekends in the mountains for camps with our home church and their cousins’ church. We’re grateful for a rich environment where they can connect with God, each other, their friends, and their cousins. On the way to drop them off for camp, we saw a beautiful collision of stormy and sunny weather.

We had a lovely Valentine’s Day brunch together at home.

In-N-Out Burger in Glendora gave a tour to Elena, Evangeline, and me, along with a bunch of other homeschoolers. Evangeline was especially excited to learn the “secret” about how to make animal-style burgers.

Annaliese, the baby, continues growing in her vocabulary and independence. If I ask her to show me where to go, she’ll grab my finger and tug me along. She led me out the front door, down the driveway, and then down our street. She often shouts “two” when she sees things in pairs. The cats mostly graciously tolerate her affection for them; she calls out “mow” in a sweet voice when she sees them and just about any other animal that’s small and cute. It’s wonderful to see her older sisters playing with her.

Amidst the ongoing craziness, Hannah and I were able to sneak a lunch date at one of our favorite Mexican food restaurants. In this picture, we’re smiling so big because the baby was sleeping instead of trying to throw the chips on the floor.

After many weeks of preparation, we finally shared our investment property (the Sapphire House) with the world, and we had our first two sets of guests stay there. If you know anyone planning to travel to Louisville, Kentucky, or Southern Indiana, we’d appreciate you sharing it

Thanks again for spending a little time with us. Blessings until next time!
